Stone Soup is an international English-language literary publication for writers and artists through age 18. We publish the best work we can find—our editorial standards are high.

By "literary," we mean that we care about both what you say and how you say it. We are looking for writing that is expressive and beautiful, where the language itself is doing real work.

We accept poetry, flash fiction, short stories, novellas, and novels. There are no length limits. We also publish visual art, including drawing, painting, photography, and musical composition.

A note on artificial intelligence. Everything you submit must be entirely your own work. Do not use AI tools—including AI grammar and style assistants—to generate, revise, or refine your writing. You decide which words to use and in what order. Spell-checkers are fine. By submitting, you and your parent or guardian confirm that the work is yours alone.
